Anyone Use/have A Raspberry Pi Or A Pine 64 ?

I tinkered a bit with all the raspberry pi models available except for the 1st release.

I use kodi, pi hole, and other OS for these units
These are very inexpensive boards that offer a wide range of options with what you can do with them

I have yet try a pine64 board but from what i gather it is not supported as well as the raspberry pi. My interest in this was was mostly the additional 1 gb or ram.

Anyways pine64 recently started taking orders for the pin64 laptops ( something i was interested in buying). It seems you can only order if you got a special code ( which i have because i signed up for the email). However my preference was the 11.6'' laptop ( out of stock) and not the 14'' one.

I was also interested in the ''pi top'' the raspberry pi laptop but at $250+ its just something i am not willing to spend.

Anyone here have interest in these boards and their features? Any input on the pine64 boards?

I really wanted to try out their laptop but looking at their Facebook backlash and them deleting comments makes me wonder if its even worth it.

 

I frequently get a "Maximum PC" magazine. And they're online with archives. Each month or maybe every other month there is an article with a different project being built with a pi including step by step instructions and software download links to fit each project. I've always been interested in these but haven't taken the step to start acquiring the hardware. Sure it will happen though. Check out the mag or site if not already familiar with it.
