    Hey guys,

My Dad's AOL account was hacked. All of his contacts are not there anymore when he tries to write an email and the people went as far as attempting to wire money out of his account. The bank called and luckily the transfer did not go through but the bank's fraud team told me to run some tests on my computer and I thought you guys would be the best to help me out.

The computer he uses is an old Windows 2000 desktop. Here are some issues I ran into...

*RogueKiller will not work... this is what it says "...it is not a valid Win32 application."
*HitmanPro will not work... this is what it says "The procedure entry point WTSGetActiveConsoleSessionId could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll."

I also wanted to let you know when I go onto some websites (including yours) I will get this prompt (which I cancel every time). I have never seen this before.

"Please enter the master password for the Software Security Device"

    Thank you!

All of your logs are clean but the log from MGtools is very incomplete. Did you have a problem running it? Do you have any protection software installed and running? I did not see any.
Are you using Firefox? See the below:

    Hey Chaslang,

Thank you for your reply. I do not have any firewalls up and have re-run MGtool for you.

Also, I have never had to put in a master password before so I do not know what it is. It looks like I have to just reset it to make a new one but this comes up and I'm a little nervous to "lose" this stuff because I don't really understand. Can you explain this a little better to me? I get the whole password and email stuff but the personal certificates and private keys confused me a little.

"If you reset your master password, all your stored web and e-mail passwords, form data, personal certificates, and private keys will be forgotten. Are you sure you want to reset your master password?"

    Thank you.

All of your logs are clean so all I can say is this appears to be related to Firefox. You may want to ask in the Software Forum. Another choice would be to uninstall Firefox, reboot, and then first try using Internet Explorer and see what happens.

    Then later reinstall Firefox.
