    Anyone know how to perma remove it? It serve no function other then to sit in the background and "check for updates" Althought I disabled this in AIM trillan (non beta) it still boots w/every start and it doesn't show under start up items or anything like that...

    Have you tried a program such as Autoruns or Startup Inspector? They should show you what programs are starting, and allow you to disable whatever you desire! :).
    PS Your list of specs is really nice, but don't forget to add your Operating System! ;)

    Thx for the proggies, seems that Aolsoftware.exe runs no matter what with AIM trillan, bastages :mad:. Thx for the PC comment, put most of my money into it and alot of my time.
