If you live in the US, you may be out of luck. Requests for refunds are being referred to retailers, and Steam has already officially stated that they will follow their regular refund policy and not do it. They accept no liability if a developer goes out of business.

Expect similar attitude from any other retailer.

Frankly, having read the reviews, I am not the least surprised they're taking down the servers. This game flopped in every way possible. I now of beta testers who were actively going out of their way to warn people not to buy this game...
