App to rip audio from dvd

Could someone advise the name of an app that will allow me to rip the audio from a dvd?

Oh, and this is not piracy - we have a privately made dvd we've lost the master and we want to send the soundtrack to a relative on CD

DvdDecrypter can "demux" the audio track from the dvd disk, and you can have the option to rip it all as one long track. I wrote a little guide a long time ago, and if you are interested, take a look. You won't need the steps to "remux" and "re-author" your dvd, of course.

I did this very thing recently, and used BeLight to convert the audio to MP3, and burned that to a cd. For a 2-hour dvd it took about 10 minutes to rip/demux, 15 minutes for BeLight to convert, and then burning time.

DGIndex is another app that can demux audio from dvd VOB files, but I think it might only work from files on the hard-drive. I've never tried to use it on files straight from the disk. (I'll have to try that tonight!)

dbPowerAmp is another good audio converter, but after 30 days you must pay for the mp3 license (free forever if you don't use mp3.)
