Apparently I'm Logging In From Another State

I changed my password for a social media account this morning, and when I checked my email later there was a confirmation. There was also another email that said, We noticed a recent login for your account... device-Chrome on Android ; Location* West Whittier CA
They got my device & browser right, but my location is clear across the country from Whittier CA. So I looked up my ip address and it's OK. Is this a problem? My location has been coming up in other states & other parts of my own state on sites like Weather Underground as well. Not always, but sometimes. Is this a DNS thing?
Don't' know if it matters here but my router was not on the list of hackable ones earlier this month. It's a Verizon branded router from about 2 years ago.
Thanks for any suggestions you can offer,

Have you turned on location in your phone?

No, I don't use the tablet as a phone and it has no number so it would be located by the wireless connection, same as a laptop right? Under settings I have access to my location turned on, GPS satellites on, and Wi-fi & mobile network location on.

Update: I have since gotten the California thing on my laptop and my mac as well. I just visited LLBean.com and noticed that the page shows "shipping to CA", though I have not begun checkout. I refused to allow the site to use my location and I checked my network settings and found that I have location off. Do websites just make a wild guess if you're not allowing location? If so, why is that they always guess always in California? I checked with WhatIsMyIPAddress.com and it's correct. So is my ipv4 address in my network settings. Nothing to worry about here?
    Thanks,

Nothing to worry about. When online shopping, I more than average get sent to a store miles and miles away. Always having to "change store".
