Apple airport wireless router

I have a friend that has a apple pc that uses airport wireless router.
He just got an Dell PC Laptop. Will the dell pickup and get onto the internet
using the airport wireless router or do they need to hookup a netgear or linksys router?

 

No the airport router should work fine, the only issue i can forsee is the fact that if he needs to change any router options, its not using a standard web interface but must download the airport xp admin software found here.http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120273

 

So all they would need to do is install the airport xp admin on the dell?

 

Only if they need to change the admin options in the router, for just connecting they don't even need that just the normal wireless software they had before.
