I had the whole Apple ][ series, then went Mac and branched out to PC's.
Looking back, I have a ton more speed, better graphics and more storage, but what am I doing with it? I am limiting things to what came with the computer and ran the moment I got it home.
    New
    1) media, the Apple]['s did not really play movies or songs well
    2) databases are relational and more programmable
    3) Internet
    Same
    1) financial (same spreadsheet functions as my needs are simple)
    2) gaming (prettier now, but same fun factor)
    3) hacking (still messing with my systems, OC, OS settings and upgrades)
    Lost/Limited
    1) voice control (Windows/Mac have it, but the ][gs worked well enough that I actually preferred voice control for many tasks. On the PC I always type)
    2) modem (why can't we make a call by highlighting a number on the screen? Dial from contacts list? My phone connects to the computer and is recognized by the OS)
    3) non maskable interrupt (I believe the ][ series was the last with full user control, after that series the system can lock out the user)

Thought is might be a fun discussion here.
I am sure there are programs out there to address the lost functionality except the interrupt.
