Kinda reminds me of the hoohaa that followed Microsoft Vista's release... unfinished are the reports coming from Mac afficinados, not wanting to have a pop at Mac users as I love Macs too, but just to show its not all Microsoft issues in the OS world, all the others get hit too with teething problems, the more complex the OSes are going the more issues we as end users will see,

in the forums are posts on applications from 3rd parties not being Leopard ready, ooops! but Mac 3rd parties generally do fix things fairly quickly.

I wasn't around for Tiger's release, but I'm guessing it was largely the same? I recall some Maclots talking about how Tiger sucked before 10.4.2.

So...guess 10.5 users will have to wait for a couple point releases ;)

My sister has been using it for 2 weeks now. After the initial mental breakdown she almost had when she realized that she had not actually backed up her files and thought she lost them (she's in law school and was in tears), she said it's doing ok.

-She didn't lose her files, but said there is a slow down since it has that ability to have a bunch of apps open in a certain way.
-Her Camino browser has frozen a few times, which never happened before.
-In her word (?) documents, she can no longer add words to her dictionary.

Camino has been freezing and crashing on me under Tiger lately, too.

    Not sure why.

Niced list of features in both Leopard vs Vista http://www.engadget.com/2007/10/27/leopard-vs-vista-feature-chart-showdown/ have to agree some of the Vista apps listed in Red are poor and could be much better, the calendar is case in point, I have to add iCal .ics addons to make it even resemble a proper calendar.... who in their right mind developes a calendar which doesnt add public holidays per country by default!

Have you upgraded the Camino browser to the newest Adryn to see if stability is indeed fixed?
