    Hello all, a few days ago a red circle with a white "X" icon appeared in my taskbar next to the clock.
    I googled what i could, deleted some files, Tried to run spybot SD but got an error message saying You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. I downloaded malwarebytes, was able to open it once, and again i got the permissions error message. I had some luck running various programs, and now the red circle and x are gone. My antispyware programs still are giving the error message, so i believe i still have a trojan somewhere.
    Then i found this forum. I went through and followed all the instructions i could in the READ & RUN ME FIRST.

    I didn't have any of the applications in the house cleaning and i ran CCleaner fine.

    superantispyware i had already downloaded and i got the same error message. i retried for the instructions but the error message remains. i got some luck with redownloading malwarebytes per the instructions, got it to do a scan, and once my computer rebooted, i couldn't get it to open, i received the same permissions error message, so i couldn't get a log for that, nor superantispyware.

    combofix ran fine and i have the log for that. rootrepeal ran fine and i have the log for that. mgtools ran fine and i have the log for that as well, which i will post. i have no idea what it is, i hope you guys can help me out, i appreciate the time and effort you put in over here.

    You maybe of date with your version of SUPERAntiSpyware.

    • Please uninstall your current version (this is necessary).
    • Then download this SUPERAntiSpyware
    • Install this new version. It may tell you that you need to reboot to complete the installation. You must reboot at this time.
    • After the reboot, run SUPERAntiSpyware and immediately click the Check for Updates button to get more updates for the database.
    • Now run a new full scan of your system. And attach this new log.

    Now run Malwarebytes and click the Update tab. Then click the Check for Updates button so you update to the current version of the program and database. Then run a new scan with it too. Attach the new log.

    Please Disable Spybot's TeaTimer

    * Run Spybot and click Mode
    * Select Advanced Mode.
    * Then click Tools and select Resident.
    * Now in the right window pane, uncheck TeaTimer.
    * Also while this is open, in the left column now select IE Tweaks
    * and then in the right pane make sure all the Miscellaneous locks are unchecked.
    * Now quit Spybot!

    Now see if you can run SAS and MBAM.

    You also need to put ComboFix where we instructed you to put in. Please put is directly on your desktop instead of here:
