Are my logs clean? Can I do the final step?

You guys are lifesavers. I had the worst infection ever: Virtumonde, hacktools, "fraud" something...wow. I did the READ ME and RUN ME bit and for the most part it worked great, EXCEPT I could not get SuperAntiSpyware to work (it kept crashing) so I do not have a log for it.

So, what I want to know is, can I do the final steps? Is deleting ComboFix the same as uninstalling it?
    Thanks in advance,
    ~Jenn

Please use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\yfqrhiap.tmp

Reboot and make sure it is gone,

If so, we can start to do some clean up from the scans:

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixME.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Hi Tim,

That file is gone upon reboot. Yippee!

And the Reg Edit worked without a hitch. I got the success message! :celebrate

I love you guys! This is a work computer, so it was imperative it get fixed. Everyone thinks I'm a computer whiz here, but I can't take your credit. Months ago, this machine had a Vundo infection (endless popups, even when I wasn't online). We installed Norton, but my (cheap) boss only installed the trial version and doesn't want to pay for the real one. So, Norton quarantined the Vundo.

This time, I opened an attachment. (Yes, I know...I'm usually so careful, but this one was tricky) and all of a sudden I got booted back to the login screen. I knew what THAT meant, lol. When I logged back on, my Norton went haywire, my Outlook started sending massive spams and there were fake alerts all over my desktop and toolbar telling me I had to download something to "pervent" infection. I persisted through your READ ME with popups flying onto my screen. What a headache :)

Long story short, I want to uninstall that Norton and keep MalWareBytes and SpyBot Search and Destroy. I'll even pay for it myself! Do you recommend this?

    Again, thanks,
    ~Jenn

You will need to uninstall Norton ( use the Norton Removal tool ) and then you can install one of the freeware Antivirus programs.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
