I have to admit I'm a huge fan of conspiracies. Area 51 is one of my favoriets, I have looked for sattelite images before, and that is the best one i have seen. thanks

It is the world's most famous secret base. Until the mid 1990's the U.S. government insisted it didn't exist. The Clinton administration finally acknowledged it's existence in response to environmental lawsuits, but refused to divulge the offical name of the facility, which the plaintiffs need to go forward. It is the testing grounds for the SR71, Tacit Blue, F117, and Aurora stealth aircraft. It is also rumored to be the location where extraterrestrial vehicles are stored, reverse-enginineered, and tested if still operational. I went by there with a OTR trucker friend on one of his runs, and didn't see anything but a lot of tourist traps. Try Google, there is loads of information about it, some may even be true.

 

Of course it exists. But anything with "Top Secret" stamped on it is automatically assumed to be something sinister. Nice little airport they have there. I'm sure it's been home to SR-71s & other hush-hush birds in it's day before they became public knowledge.

Whether or not aliens ever crashed there is another matter, for the X-Files. But even if little green men DID crash there a half-century ago, that would not be reason to keep that much real-estate restricted today.

 

yea, there is an AFB in Texas(I can't remember the name of off hand) that my old man was "Top Secret" back when he was in. Since then it has been merged with a "non-top secret" base.

What people don't understand are the many levels of security there is "top secet" is in the middle, not the "top"

i do think they have something hidding out there because like the SR71 Black Bird it came way befor its time and they grounded it befor its time was up whats up with that. and did you know that they have a time sheet of when imageing sat. go over that base so they know when to hide there aircraft thats why noone can get a sat image of the aircraft on runways or sitting on the ground and i bet you did not know that the base has got bigger if i remember right in the past 10 years it has gotten 30% bigger i would say every thing eles i know but i dont want a knock at my door...

They grounded the SR-71s because they're horrendously expensive to fly and maintain, satellite imaging is so good today that they aren't needed as much, and with the Cold War over, they felt that they could do without the cost.

But you're welcome to try and read something sinister in their grounding if you prefer.
