art program suggestions

    hey guys,
    a friend of mine saw a couple of drawings i had done, and had a suggestion.
    he told me that if i found a program that allowed me to split RGB channels on my scans i could make my art better. this got me wondering what program would be the best to use to scan, color and enhance my drawings?
