Assistance with About:Blank

Hello Folks,

I have returned after the fantastic help you gave me with a malware problem many months ago.

My new problem is with about: blank, although I do not seem to have a problem with any malware, viruses or other programs.

I recently removed my "wanadoo" search bar as it locked my IE homepage to www.orange.co.uk using HJT. Now however my homepage reverts to About:blank and will not change to a website of my choice.

I have done the usual checks as advised in your sticky thread, but all return negative, and on searching other threads I took Chaslangs advice on resetting web settings, but IE is unable to reset web settings when the box is checked to also reset my homepage. (it does not say why).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
