Astromenda removal

Hi Folks,

I haven't been back in a while, but a critter finally got in - Astromenda.

A user was trying to update Adobe Flash, and somehow got to a Flash install lookalike, and Astromenda has usurped her machine.

Norton did nothing about it.

Which of: RogueKiller, TDSSKiller, HitmanPro , or MGtools would you recommend?

P.S. I re-read all of the READ ME First, I hard cloned the victim drive, and I have some small experience.

Thanks, but if you search on tocuin you'll see that I've been on this roller coaster once or twice.

I did search the Forum, ran CCLeaner, Hijackthis, TDSSKiller, etc. and WinHex with my personal store of heuristics on the clone.

After 4 hours, I decided that it was just not worth the trouble, and hard-reimaged her drive. 5 days old, but no critters. She'll live without her 5 days of Facebook. Her emails are on the server.

So, Mr. / Ms. moderator mark this one solved / hammered flat.

I was just wondering if anyone else had disinfected this (Astromedia/Andromedia) with a quick fix. It's a new one, to me, and I'd appreciate the details.
