Astronomers detect '10th planet'

Is it 9 or 10? For a long time astronomers have theorized that there was another planet in our solor system. For some time it was refered to as Planet 'X'. The discovery has been announced, now it remains to be seen it is can be confirmed. Some astronomers/scientist believe Pluto is not a planet, but a moon.

 

I don't think any astronomer thinks Pluto is a moon (it doesn't go round a planet!) - maybe just a large member of the Kuiper Belt Objects (KBOs) a planetoid in fact.

 

No it doesn't; but a few have theorized that it once did. Don't ask me to cite who, I'm not going to spend the time to look it up again. I place the people who make such claims in the fruits, nuts & flakes category. Lord knows there are plenty in the scientific community who fit in the category of fruits, nut & flakes.
