asus a8n-e prblem

hi all. happy memorial day!!! I just got this asus a8n-e mobo for a new computer im building ,I bought a ati radeon 9250 agp vid card before i got the motherboard. well theres no slot for an agp vid card its pci express, so I take it back and get a regular pci version of the same vid card and install it and finaly get the computer put together turn it on and the monitor doesnt respond and the computer just beeps ive tried getting on the asus support page but its doesnt seem to be working.
anybody have a problem like this? any suggestions

that maybe your problem pci card and pci express two different types of cards make sure your card says pci expess not just a regular pci card

The blue slot is for pci express video card white slots are regular pci slots if the card you have is a regular pci card try putting it in one of the whit slots see if that works

 

thats pretty much my question do you have to have a pci express card for this peice of crap to work?
because my card is just a regular pci card.

you can always try to see if it works in the white slot otherwise you need to get a pci express card for the blue slot

 

ive got it in the white slot. all i get when i turn it on is beep beep beep continulsly and the monitor dosnt do anything

 

look in your motherboard manual for the beep codes they tell you what those three beeps mean more than likely it is the video card and you will have to get an pci express card

whare did you buy the video card you may have to buy a pci express card off an online retailer or ask whare you bught the card for pci express card. here are a few good online vendors i use all the time

well i figured out why it was beeping (ram was plugged into wrong dimm) but i still have no signal to monitor im gonna have to go get a pci express card and hope that it works.
