Asus drivers....

    hi guys.
    i`ve got a problem. i have an Asus V7700 Geforce 2 GTS. (Quite old, i know). Neway, i finishe installing win xp and tried to install these drivers for the Geforce 2. but when i try thr instal, it sayd thtthe drivers r not supported by microsoft and installing them might make the system unstable.
    Previously i had installed these drivers oin win2k. tht timethere was no problem. y now with XP?
    the error says .. could not load kernel32 drivers ( i think).
    Wats wrong with microsoft?

    oh.. btw. .. the driver version is 5.33.

    What I would do is to uninstall the drivers.. then head off to Nvidia and download the latest version Detonator drivers ( version 44.03 ) and reinstall.... bear in mind they may not have the same options as the ASUS drivers!

    BTW are those the latest ASUS GeForce drivers available?


    This is a common thing when installing drivers that are NOT... MS WHQL signed... if you want to install non WHQL drivers do so, all MS are saying in that its your choice and if your system become unstable its not their fault or the fault of XP!

    I think 50% of my drivers are not WHQL approved and I'm still stable! ( mentally maybe not ;) )

    Its your choice but personally I install them as the Driver Rollback function is usefull if a driver is not working out!

    wellllllllll.... no they`re not the latest drivers. i never thought i would have such a problem.
    these r the drivers i got with the card. they`re as old as the card.
    i neverdid know where to get the latest drivers.
