Asus mobo false starting...

Asus P5E-VM HDMI
when I press the power button on the case it starts - stops then restarts in about 3-4 seconds.

This is a new problem that has started about a week ago,
this is a new build of only 3mths or so..

I havent installed anything other than a usb bluetooth dongle and I uninstalled that just to see if it was that causing it.

I cannot seem to find why its doing it.

It boots into Windows ok after the initial false start but its annouying.

Any Ideas people???

Check that the Start Button is retracting immediately you release your finger from it, as it could be sticking.

 

That would be my guess that the power button is sticking. Either that or something came lose like a card or plug connector inside the pc or the power supply is freaking out. Doesn't sound like it's going thru POST either. That's a definite sign of hardware probs. POST will test all your basic components at startup.

When I push it and let go it goes on /off in a sec then after 3-4 secs starts

Im at a loss.
PSU fine also. only 6mths old and not over stretched according to peu calculator!
