Asus SmartDoctor Problems

Hi there, long story short - I set Asus SmartDoctor to enable 'SmartCooling' and it does it's job fantastically, it's nice and quiet whilst in windows, but if I'm playing any games it spins a little quicker and keeps the card nice and cool.

However, at random intervals the fan will go onto full speed, I'll check SmartDoctor and for some reason it automatically changes from 'SmartCooling' to 'Manual Mode' and I have no idea why, but it's pretty annoying when I'm trying to sleep and the PC starts making sounds like a vacuum cleaner! hehe

Any suggestions on how to sort this much appreciated, thanks!

What is your system Spec's, hardware etc.

Sorry to bump an old thread, I'm having big problems with my Asus 6800 whilst trying to play TFC, unless I reboot directly before playing it informs me that my card doesn't support OpenGL.

I re-installed my graphics card drivers, and ever since doing that, the SmartDoctor application keeps resetting back to the extremely loud manual speed mode!

Any suggestions as to what to try are very welcome, like alternative applications or something please? I'm really at a loss with this now, and the card's extremely loud without the various increments.
