Athlon 1800+ slower after bios uppgrade

Hi i uppgraded my bios (k7s6a_10b) to a newer one (s6a10f) for my motherboard its a ECS K7S6A and after uppgrading my cpu (AMD Athlon XP 1800+) started running at 1150mhz ( FSB 100 * multiplier 11.5 = 1150 )
It usualy runs at 1533mhz ( FSB 133 * multiplier 11.5 = 1533 ).
All i did was uppgrading the bios and when i try to change FSB in CPUCOOL it just hangs. I don't know how to change the multiplier cause i belive it is locked. But i do not know. Why did the FSB drop and how do i change it?
It is realy anoying.

 

There should be unlocking software , anyway if you backed up your original bios just flash it back to that.
If you didnt't do that then not to worry just find out what motherboard model you have look inside your manual perhaps if you have one and try going to manufactures website.. its most likely theyre going to have one. Always remember to back up your bios. ITS A MUST
By the way have a look at ACE's sticky just in overclocking to see how it works if you're not familiar with it.

Id say get a new mobo ASAP ! ECS is crap http://forums.majorgeeks.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ..... Thare is no FSB setting in the bios ???? On ECSs site thare should be a list of bioses the latest and a fue older ones just DL the one befor the one you have now....

I am abit familiar with the overclocking but im still a newb. In CPUCOOL you have to write in you PLL and i have no idea where to find it do you guys know? I am going to buy a new comp im just waiting until AMD opteron with double cores is released.

I fixed it now ive clocked it to 1570mhz not much but when i tried to clock it more it overheated and restarted i think ill need a new cpu fan=(
