ATI R9550 256M 128bit driver

I just tried out 3dMark05, it froze in the loading screen, and nothing would pull it out, I hard to hard boot.

might be the new version of windows, I'll try XP compatibility mode later.

And I dont know much about how far VPU's overclock, but this one has almost doubled the core speed, memory wasn't so hot.. and it is holding stable with no artifacts at 185% (roughly) core speed.. awesome

original Core/Memory speed -250/200
Current- 474.43/246.86

It will reach 500Mhz, but the heatsink wont take it

wonder how that crysis is gonna do now :-D

 

Wait - make sure you've downloaded and installed DirectX 9.0C, the version form umm, June or October last year?. It won't replace or break DX11, it makes the DX9 part of it fully compatible.

 

will do, I forgot that they overlap each other like the .Net framework packages..

 

well 3dMark05 was a bit laggy, even with all other applications closed including gadgets and everything it only scored 1118 3D points on stock speeds(250/200), and 1696 OC'ed to 472.50/247.50..

3dMark03 gave some better results, getting a 2352 3D points on stock speeds, and 3336 3D points OC'ed.

And it will at least play Need For Speed Carbon on max settings
