ATi x800 Pro

Anyone know where I would be able to buy a replacement fan for the stock cooler (x800 pro)? I'll even but the entire stock VGA cooler, if somone knows where I can buy one from.

I'm not sure if you can buy the fan alone as a replacement part,you could try ebay,or send an email to manufacturer of your card,they will install a new fan for free but you will incur the shipping costs.

I'm not your where your from but under uk law its the duty of the retailer 'the store' not the manufacturer to replace the card as the fault is not general wear and tear up to six years after purchase,irrelevant of what warranty the store offers,you should have no problem getting a replacemnt from the store

 

Thanks for the link acejones but, I have a shuttle and I don't think that cooler will fit. I should have mentioned that before.

ATI is the manufacturer of the cards chip not not the whole card,the manufacturers eg. Sparkle,BFG,EVGA sometimes use they'r own design of heatsink arrangement of which you couldnt fit ATI's reference design fan onto.

These are the people you need to contact,dont tell them you have removed the fan already if you have,they may say you damaged the fan by trying to remove it.

Do you know who the manufacturer of your card is?

 

Most of the ATi card I have seen will say sapphire or list another company's name on the box. Mine only says Ati.

 

Sorry go with ATI then,usually the bigger the company easier to get something done ,see if you can see on the box anywhere manufactured by """"""" under licence of ATI,it might be in the small print

Good chance its the reference cooler design
