ATT Samsung II Skyrocket Upgrade to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

I have an ATT Samsung Skyrocket II. I have gotten the text message about upgrading to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. I am just wondering if anyone here has upgraded theirs and if they had/have any problems. My phone has been acting up lately (freezing, etc) Just speculating if this might help or make it worse?

Hi Gal

I think Adryn is more aiming at it might as we never know the device and what an dOS may do to it as its a new one, so like PCs and all the variables that they have and then you want to go from say XP to Win7, it may work but may not.

I think the thing to weigh up is do you need to updates that this offers or not, generally the answer is yes for me as they do offer good additions and functions, but you need to back up what you have already and give it a whirl.

I am leaning towards trying it this weekend. I do have everything backed up on my sd card, which I plan on taking out before I attempt the upgrade. The way my phone has been acting, I don't think it can hurt..

Yeah I would be like you backup and give it a go, cannot really harm much as you can recover to older version if needed.

Just an update. I did upgrade and can say my phone has not froze up at all. Glad I went through with it
