Audacity

I have win7 and Audacity and I wanted to know is there any way to save an Audio File as Uncampressed in Audacity?

I wanted to know because if I am working on an Audio File I would like to save it and be able to work on it again.

And I know you can only save Files so many times before the File Data gets to Compressed that it is Lossed.

Save the file as WAV.
There is no limit on how many times you can do this.

I thought the WAV File was a Compression format as well?

WAV files are not compressed, that's why they tend to be large files.

Take notes:

There are three major groups of audio file formats:
1. Uncompressed audio formats, such as WAV, AIFF, AU or raw header-less PCM;
2. Formats with lossless compression, such as FLAC, Monkey's Audio (filename extension .ape), WavPack (filename extension .wv), TTA, ATRAC Advanced Lossless, ALAC (filename extension .m4a), MPEG-4 SLS, MPEG-4 ALS, MPEG-4 DST, Windows Media Audio Lossless (WMA Lossless), and Shorten (SHN).
3. Formats with lossy compression, such as Opus, MP3, Vorbis, Musepack, AAC, ATRAC and Windows Media Audio Lossy (WMA lossy).
