    I recently reformatted my computer and so i had to download many motherboard stuff for my multimedia to work (videos).

    So far, i can watch videos, but my audio/sound doesnt work. Everytime a sound is supposed to come out due to clicking/IMing on AIM, the computer makes a beep noise.

    Boot -> F2 -> Advanced -> Peripheral Configuration -> Audio [Enabled]

    Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Volume Control (results in a pop-up: "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panle, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add Hardware."

    Control Panel -> Printers and Other Hardware -> Add Hardware (everything seemed installed and there were nothing to install in the "add hardware" selection at the bottom of the list of hardwares)

    I have a :
    Windows XP (Pro I think)
    Motherboard Name Intel Brownsville 2 D845GEBV2
    Intel 82801DB ICH4 - AC'97 Audio Controller [B-0] PCI
    ---nothing in the "Windows Audio"---

    I don't know what to do, please help me.

    PS:My audio worked fine before the reformat.
