Just curious if anyone had any suggestions as to audio editing programs that are proffesional quality, specifcly things that may be in use in the in film industry today.

Ive been searching for an ~audio~ support forum to post this question, so if anyone has a link to a site that would be better suited I'd love to see it.

(I did see this post earlier http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=23186 But Im really looking to find out what major studios are using, not freeware.)

Any help at all is appreciated.

IMO Hydrogenaudio.org is the best place for all things audio, - check this thread out.

There's some music software called Cakewalk which is reckoned to be extremely good. I think the band Goldie Lookin' Chain use it.

have you tried audicity? many pro studioes use it, so instead of assuming it sucks cause its free, why dont you try it.

Good point. I use Audacity for most things. Except when I actually want to create music. I've only just started doing it so I wanted an easy and cheap bit of software to try. I downloaded the trial version of Aldo's Pianito Micro Sudio, and liked it, so I bought the full version. It was only about £8 and it works well for what it does.

Made the music for This with it.
