I don't entirely know where this post belongs so you'll have to excuse me....

I'm currently working on a computer which had to have the motherboard replaced, it WAS a Gateway computer, but now the only thing that remains is the hard drive, which cannot be formatted, so the answer to that option is no right away...

    The issue is this...

The audio is not functioning properly...

The drivers are installed properly, Windows says there are no conflicts, but the thing is not showing up in the preferred devices list in the multimedia thingy.... I'm running Windows ME, and there appears to be no SFC, so I can't check that...

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

I've uninstalled the audio drivers, turned it off at the hardware level, gone into windows, then turned it on again, I've even deleted the enum key in the registry to get rid of ALL driver entries, but to no avail.... I need a solution ASAP... Please.... I've had this thing 2 days now and this is the only thing I've got left to solve...

    Please... Heeelp....
