I'm using the mother board 4 my audio. I've installed the full version of XP Pro with SP3. The system doesn't see any audio now. No audio devise no drivers either. I haven't found what is missing, yet. Can anyone give me a great idea to try, please?

It would be a great help to know what the model number of your motherboard is :). That way someone could direct you to the proper place to download the correct drivers.

In my experience, XP installations are lousy at audio drivers (NIC drivers also for that matter). Should be a simple matter of downloading the proper driver file for your motherboard, and installing it.
