Hi there my computer is infected with Aurora and I need some help.

I went through and did all the online scans and ran all of the antispyware programs in the tutorial. Unfortunately, I'm still infected. Any suggestions?

    Hey D3m3nt3d,

Here are my Ewido and HJT txt files that you asked me to post. The two programs were removed prior to the scans. Now I'm going back to scan with HJT and remove the items you suggested.

Thanks for all of your help. :)

    Hey D3m3nt3d,

It doesn't seem like I'm having anymore problems. (Let's hope that continues) As for the AOL item, the only thing the kids use AOL for is the AIM feature. From what I understand, AIM is a standalone program. Our internet service is through a local cable company.

Perhaps we should just remove that extra AOL item to be safe...

Let me know what you think

    Hey D3m3nt3d,

I feel pretty confident that my computer is clean. We're already using Firefox. A family friend suggested it to us. Also we have installed EZArmor from CA for our Antivirus and Firewall protection.

Just a few more things to do in that article you linked me to like switch out Java and update my Active X.

    Thanks for all your help!!
