I want to go to California, but I have been there. Would like to go to Australia, never been there.

...Never put any shrimp on the Barbie in my life. Why do foreigners think we do that? rolleyes. Beside they are prawns, not shrimp, here. Shrimp are the little bitty ones that go into shrimp cocktails, or something.

They B.B.Q. steak and sausages and onions, like any normal people. 'Cept the long, hot summers mean they do more of it.

 

Same reason we all drink tea,eat scones and live in castles

Well, if I had a castle when I was still in the U.K., I wouldn't have left it, trust me. (Although I have been known to partake in tea and scones at times, lol.)

That's like when I visit my relatives in the U.S., they nearly all seem to think I have Koala 'Bears' and Kangaroos in the backyard, LoL! Admittedly, I do come across the odd Kangaroo on country roads, but A.F.A.I.K., Koalas aren't even a native of this state, so the only place I'm likely to see them is the same place you would find one if you came here - a Wildlife Park or a Zoo. I’m not an Aussie, but I think that’s correct.

@ Bazza:- Yep, I actually had an American associate of mine ask me at the Stonehenge site, "Why did they build this thing so far away from the parking lot?" rolleyes

 

We told American relations on my ex's side, that the sheepskins we took over as gifts in '76, were Aussie rabbit skins. lol. Bazza
