If your laptop came with Windows 10, it should have an embedded key I the registry.
Depending on what you consider crap, and what you want to keep- You should be able to clean install W10, with nothing on. If you have office, or, other programs you want to keep, then you would need to use a licence crawler to get the licences for them (Office, etc
However , doing it that way would probably make any recovery drive inactive, so you could not go back to original.
I would suggest you create a system image, before doing anything, in case you need to get back to original. Also, Usually in that recovery partition, you often find a driver folder, and others-so worth copying those to a usb.

Clean install is easier, and probably quicker, except for updating to latest version-just depends what programs you wanted to keep.
