    heey,

it's probably an easy thing to do, but I can't figure it out.
Whenever I boot up the computer I have to press a button for the wireless connection to start. Can anyone tell me how to configure it to automatically start at boot up?

I've got a windows XP Media Center Edition

    Thanks in advance,
    Marco

Is windows managing the connection? Sounds like you have a third party app that you have to push a button. In windows you can have your wireless network set to perferred and automatic & XP will connect when ever the signal is in range.. no buttons to push.
Go to the properities on the wireless adapter & on the second tab check "let windows...blabla" and shut down the other program.

I live in Australia and I have a BigPond (telstra) connection. They (telstra) wants you to buy a special usb stick from them that can automatically connect to the internet, and as in this family we have 2 laptops, we're not thinking of buying 2 usb sticks.
Now... If I don't want to buy another usb stick I had to set up the internet connection manually and enter the MAC address as well. If I let windows manage my internet connection, it doesn't let me connect to the internet anymore.

What I need now is something that automatically enables Intel PROSet/Wireless, so I don't have to press that button every time... a special registry entry will do.. (if that is possible)

Dude, your looking for help, calm down.. some of us may have that "stupid button", some may not. I have delt with several wireless devices from various vendors and can tell you no two, I have seen, are alike... so I ususally try to let windows zero config handle it, but on rare occasions you have to install some 3rd party app. Maybe you can get a screenshot of the config. for the button & help us out.eh?
Also FYI if we are talking about laptops they physically have a "stupid button" to push!
That is why is asked, excuse me!
