Auto update & media center

    My gateway and my compaq laptop quit on the same day. I did get them both up and running again and the only easy reason for the crashes was the microsoft updates. I thought all was well. Then tried to watch tv. Complete system shutdown! again! Both comps have media center and I'm thinking that's the prob. Any ideas or experiance?
