    Hi All,

I'm a dunce with computers so please simplify any answers you may have:

I am currently running AutoCAD 2011 for MAC which I got soon after it came out. It has always had problems crashing very soon after starting-up so I've hardly used it. I have tried reinstalling it a number of times to no avail. I opened it again today and it had two pending updates which I installed hoping this would fix the problem. It hasn't.

My machine is a Macbook Pro 15":

    Model Name: MacBook Pro

I know graphics drivers are sometimes a problem with CAD so the following is what I have:

    Main Display: Yes
    Mirror: Off
    Online: Yes

    Display Connector:

    AND

    Intel HD Graphics:

    Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics

    gMux Version: 1.9.21
    Displays:
    Display Connector:

I have attached one of the reports generated from this crash. I am so sick of not being able to use this program - I hope someone can help me sort out what's going on. Let me know what other information you might need (and where I can find it on my machine).

    Thanks!

I noticed you said you tried doing updates to fix this, was that osx system updates or updates to the auto cad application itself? Have you tried any other troubleshooting steps like verifying your disk permissions? Also was cad installed off of cd/dvd or the app store?

They were CAD updates, pretty sure my system is set to update itself automatically (it always seems to be doing so), CAD was originally installed off a DVD then I tried another version a friend sent me in case it was just my copy.

What should I be looking for with disk permissions?

    Thanks for taking an interest.
