    Please follow the steps below:

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

    - Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Click Start, Run, and enter msconfig and click OK! Click on the button that says Launch System Restore. On the lower left side of the next window click the underlined text that reads: System Restore Settings. If the next windows comes up, you should now be able to check the box that reads: Turn off System Restore on all drives.

Are you running with Administrator priviledges?

Just continue on with the other steps and ignore the System Restore issue for now. Let's see if you have any other issues (like can you boot in safe mode, can you connect to the internet in safe mode)
