automatic ping cmd

alright sorry if this is a no brainer but i looked and found nothing. so heres my question. i have my own computer so i usually stay away from the things that can mess it up. today my brother walked up and said that the computer said its infected with spyware so i told him to use lava adaware. after that norton started working and removed a trojan and lava remove over 200 critical objects. so here is the question now. after i deleted the quarinteed items and no main programs were running the start menu popped up, clicked run and went to the cmd menu and typed ping freesex .com or something like that. note that i was doing absolutely nothing but sitting there and all of this just happened in about 5 seconds. does this mean that what ever he did which i will probably never find out, downloaded some hi jacker or something so someone took over the computer. i dont know what this is and im guessing its bad. sorry for the long post. and thanks in advance. also if what it is why didnt norton or adaware remove and if it still does this how do i find it and remove it for good.

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
