Help.....I have contracted the AV security suite malware and it is taking my computer hostage. I cannot connect to the internet at all anymore, the only way I can get files on to the computer is by burning them to cd on another machine and every time I try to install/run/uninstall or do ANYTHING with MBAM the malware takes it hostage and blows up the process. I am losing my patience with this and I would like to avoid dire solutions. Seems like it will be difficult to get these "logs" to assist you guys as I have not figured out a way to get files .txt or otherwise off of the machine. I am a rookie at this virus/malware stuff but am relatively computer savvy. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks, Jreinan01

As stated in the READ & RUN ME FIRST guide
Does the infected machine have a CD or DVD burner? If so after running as many of the suggested tools that you can, try burning the logs the logs to CD and transferring them to a machine with internet connection. *You can also use a thumbdrive/flashdrive - but remember they are writeable and can get infected.

    Please also run this tool.

Go to TDSSKiller and Download TDSSKiller.zip to your Desktop
    • Extract its contents to your Desktop so that you have TDSSKiller.exe directly on your Desktop and not in any subfolder of the Desktop.
    • Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bold command into Run box and hit Enter.
    "%userprofile%\Desktop\TDSSKiller.exe" -v

    • Follow the instructions to type in "delete" when it asks you what to do when if finds something.
    • When done, a log file should be created on your C: drive named something like TDSSKiller.2.2.8_11.04.2010_22.24.09_log.txt which is based on the program version # and date and time run. Please attach this log to your next reply.

Please attach the logs to your reply.

Before burning to a CD, I suggest first seeing if the internet connection problem is related to what is stated in the below about a fake proxy setting.
