avast and avg on my computer

Ive used avg for ever some one replied to me to use avast I tried and had problems. Which avg can I download on to my desk top with xp the simplest one.

If I understand correctly, you are using both AVG and Avast at the same time. That is why you are having problems. Either are fine, just not together. Pick one and uninstall the other.

 

I know you want easy (who doesn't) but you really should educate yourself about malware in general rather than looking for a quick solution that's bound to fail. Here's a great page for doing so:

Realize however that no single antiviral program is infallible. You therefore might consider installing one or more stand-alone scanners in addition to whatever real-time scanner you choose. Here are IMO some good choices (I've used all of them extensively):
