Don't know if this should go here, but I wanted to put
this out there for comments. A week or so ago,I got a pop up message
from Avast saying that the program 'Auslogics' was harboring some
malware, and that I could get the paid for version to fix this(I have avast
free version). I have never had any problems with auslogics, quite the
opposite in fact,it does its job very well.
Anyway,to check it I had it
scanned with Malwarebytes--not a thing, and has been working fine.
Could this be Avast giving false alarms to get more business?
    What do you think guys?
    Regards,

Hey jimingo, I'm using Avast Free on this computer for a while now, and I have never had a pop-up like that. I do get the occasional pop-up in the corner offering a upgrade discount on a pay version of Avast, but never a pop-up telling me to upgrade to the pay version to remove anything. And I have put Avast to some extreme testing to make sure of what it can and can not do. Try going here and tell Avast your problem, and see what they say and get back to us and share your information, http://www.avast.com/support

You can also put Auslogics in the exclude list.
