Avast Pro

Hello All,

Some help would be appreciated. I installed Avast Pro Edition and ran the scan, then deleted the trojans it found. It rebooted to the desktop; now there are no icons. No icons is safe mode as well. I ran the software again from msconfig, and deleted yet another trojan and rebooted. Same result in safe or normal mode. Desktop visible, no icons. I have read the threads on Read and Run and removing malware. I'm stuck, not as technically inclined as I would like to be with this stuff. Any and all help please :cry
