Avast virus definitions will not update

    Approximately one week ago I updated avast! Free Antivirus so it is now version 2014.9.0.2008. Ever since I have been unable to update the virus definitions. When I attempt to do so I receive the following error message: "Host unreachable". Consequently, my anti-malware protection is not up-to-date.

    Is anyone else having this problem? What is the solution to it?
