Does anyone have an idea why my avatar is missing?

Is it a post count thing?

    125px × 125px
    22.72 KB (23,267 bytes)
    .png File Format

I see it just fine in my profile page but not in my posts.

Edit: Never Mind figured it out.. Profile pictures are 125x125 Avatar pictures are 80X80. Got it.

It doesn't have anything to do with post count. The fact that it's in your profile should mean it should be showing up in your posts as well.

When you edited your avatar, did you click the Use Custom Avatar button?

You'll have to delete the Profile picture unless you want to put an actual picture of yourself in there. Those are the forum rules.

Glad you figured it out. My mistake in not noticing that you had up the profile pic and not the avatar.

I already figured out what was wrong. You must have missed my edit. :)

I had a couple of issues actually . First I expected my profile pic to be my avatar. Duhhh

Then Avatars don't seam to support transparency.

    But its all fixed :D

Edit: I didn't realize that an avatar in the profile pic spot was against the rules. Its good you told me that because I was not going to even bother correcting that. It seamed too trivial to worry about. I'll get it now. ;)

I did notice your edit. When I looked at your profile, I just saw the pic you wanted for your avatar and didn't look at the fact that you had it set as your profile pic. Glad you got it sorted.

You will still need to delete the profile pic (again, unless you want to put a real picture of yourself in there), or I'll have to delete.

Edited to add: I just saw your edit. Thanks. :)

I took it away and I'm not giving it back. :p

jk...actually, it disappears after 10 minutes. Any edits you make will have to be in that time period. It keeps spammers from getting past filters and is implemented for other reasons as well.

How does that keep spammers from getting past a filter? If they try to make a advert post that's caught by the filter, won't it catch it during their edit as soon as they hit the save button anyway?

Sometimes. Sometimes not. Depends on what's in the filter.

It's not just for that. There's other reasons as well.

If you find you need to add to your post and it's beyond the 10 minutes, you'll just have to create a new post. ;)

I don't think I really need to, I just don't like not being able to if I feel I need to. ;)
You know how it is, you go back the next day and you typoed the word "your" and it changes the context of the sentence because it now says "our" so now forever when people read that post they have no idea what your talking about. Not having the edit function means you have to be really careful what you post because its permanent. It kind of takes the joy out of posting and makes it work.

The only reason I would remove the edit button would be if some one was abusing it. Like on a gamer site when you have someone completely change the context of a past conversation to make someone they were arguing with look like an idiot.

I have been admin on lots of sites I know all the tricks. I managed over 300K forums before. phpbb, phpbb2 and phpbb3 mostly.
