Ave.exe malware...can't open .exe files...

Ok i need someone to please explain to me in simple terms how to resolve this problem. My pc was infected with malware - ave.exe (xp security thing)...it disabled avast so i couldnt run a scan but i have gone into safe mode with networking and downloaded malwarebytes and it's picked up the malware and quarantined it to my virus vault. The problem i have now is when i reboot my pc in normal mode i cant run any .exe files. They only work in safe mode...i have looked on the net and tried to fix the problem but nothing seems to work

can anyone help me? need more info plz ask cheers
