AVG antivirus

Hello, d/l the 7.03 free avg virus on 03/31/005. Today while I was on the intenet, an update box appeared and wording said it was downloading update files. It remained on the screem for a good period of time and did nothing, when I tried to close, a box appeared wanting to know if I wanted to close. Due to the program not doing anything I tried to close the update box and had great difficulty in doing so.

I tried to contact avg tech support by email and you can only do so if you have the professional d/l. They have a forum board for the free virus and could not find out how to sign up

My question is if anyone has the same d/l have you had this problem and if so what did you do to clear it up.

This may not be the right board for this thread, but is was the most loglical one I could find.

Thanks for your reply, on the tech email when you get that far it tells you that the suport is only for "Professional" thats as far as I could get.

I am sorry to say the I didn't. I got on mg's site and had difficulty in find the d/l spot on mg. So after a period of time I when back to a search and d/l.

The thing that is bothering me at this point is the inabilty we have in contacting Grisoft and again they have a free forum board but after looking for a long period, cannot find the page to signup. I appreciate you replying back to me. I will probably purchase a new norton which is what I had before it quit giving updates.

 

Installed AVG free on someones comp. and kinda got the same problem. Install was fine, but when time came to update, it would just try to connect for a while but eventually give me a message to check internet connections settings for AVG. I finaly had to get updates manually, strange thing is Grisoft tells you it's unwise to do it manually.

That's what I figured.
I wanted to install Avast, but he chose AVG.
