AVG Firewall blocking webcams on windows live messenger - no error message. Help?

For the past few months whenever I go to view somebody's webcam, it'll start to load, the area where an ad showed be is blocked out, and then when it goes to transfer to the webcam, the webcam cuts out with no error as to why. I recently disabled the firewall on my AVG and it allowed me to access somebody's webcam afterward. I then turned it back on and tried again to be sure I was isolating the problem and of course, the webcam was cut off after transferring. I don't know what is causing it because the messenger is on full allowance for the firewall. Could I please get some help?

 

Hello Thy_Armageddon, have you thought about disabling AVG FW and using a stand alone one? MG has some nice freebies, that are real good. You can try that, and see if it makes a difference. Sorry for the wait in response, it's been a busy week. Anyways I would use a stand-alone firewall but I've spent so much time tuning AVGs firewall with everything on my computer that it'd most likely be simpler to just find out where the problem is and fix it. Though I'm not certain.
