AVG free find Trojan horse SHeur.CLNZ in GameOs3.2 from MajorGeeks download area

    The file gameoss.exe has the trojan according to AVG, and it seems to be true, since it propagated to other areas.

    Is this a false alarm? Version 3.3 also has the infection according to AVG, from MajorGeeks, but not 3.1 from cnet.

    What version of AVG are you running? Either way, this is a false detection. The file is clean.

    Scanned with AVG 8.0.0.161 on 9/27/2008 showed it to be clean too.

    I've got AVG 8.0.173, the free version. It says that it is up to date with it's virus table.

    Okay then if it is still detecting a problem in the file, AVG 8.0.173 is having a false positive problem. The file is clean.

    I used their "analyze" feature, which appears to send relevant data to AVG. I didn't get any confirmation that anything actually happened, but it's something...

    It may take awhile before the fix the problem but you don't need to worry about the progam as it is clean.
