Okay I did a full pc scan of my computer with avg free today like I regularly do. & well avg free stated this during my scan:

    OBJECT:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll

    RESULT:

    CHANGE

    STATUS:

    CHANGED

Well I've never seen that happen before during a scan. Avg free finished scanning after and found absolutely no threats, virus', etc. So I'm wondering what in the hell did that mean? What was changed and why? I never changed anything so something must have.

Please help so I know my pc is a ok. I did a free system scan with trendmicro.com after and it found nothing.

    Thank You

    Hi

    couple of differential options are:

Windows update or an update changed yoru Shell32.dll, which prompted this alert.

Your AVG latest dat file has a false positive to this file.

If you do a scan with Panda online or Bitdefender do you get similar? but as you did Trends online scan its likely its a one off change due to an update or a false positive, just monitor for the next few weeks.
