Avg???

I haven't been able to complete an update with AVG since about a week ago. I have tried manually and automatic. I uninstalled and tried to re-install but all author sites will not connect. Is there something up with AVG???

AVG is from my observations very prone to this happening and has been for some time, things to try are clean out your temp and cookies (ccleaner is good for this) and also double check if you have a software firewall that AVG is allowed out and not blocked.

When updating do you get any error codes or message, if so please post the full message as these help narrow the issue down.

Also for background info what Windows version you using?

I have run into this as well, each time I found something on my system blocking AVG. Usually something I did not want on my system. I take it as a warning something is wrong with my system, not AVG.

blhower, what version are you running and what is the number of the last definition updated? You can see this on the left when you open the program.

What version of AVG are you running. I would make sure youre on ver 8.5.

If you are running the free-version 7.5, you won't be getting any more updates. They've discontinued issuing updates due to the age of the version. They actually notified people of this for quite some time and even extended the cut-off date several times.
