AVI Video GIF

Hi there, I have read how to make an AVI file into a GIF and can now do this but how is it I can EDIT the video to put in some other things into the video,
Surly its not frame by frame editing with the gif file it it?

I'm looking to mess about with an AVI file and add some things into it, here is a few examples, I especially like the idea of putting a face over another in a moving image:

To convert video to gif I use VidGif...

 

ZS4 is a high quality video editor with many professional features and it should be able to do what you need. Adobe Photoshop should also be able to do it, but it's quite expensive, and ZS4 is totally free. I personally haven't used ZS4, but a friend of mine is into editing video and making his own music DVDs using archived footage from the '60s and he likes it. Another good tool to convert avi to gif is Video Avatar! it converts quickly without any problem!
